Role                            : Software Developer (L3) – Senior Profile – ASP CLASSIC

 

 

Description

Responsible for the maintenance and evolution of the application to maintain the application in an operational state. In charge for the corrective, adaptive, preventive maintenance and small project including the reporting & scheduled jobs done via ETL. Responsible for providing support and operational environment to L2. Not responsible for managing resources.

 

Needs to follow the software development process by using dedicated tools (Visual Studio, SVN/GIT, Jenkins) and ensuring the on-time, quality delivery of software releases independently.

 

ASP.NET, MVC, SSIS, J query, IIS, Web services, SQL 

 

Qualification & Experience

1)    Engineering graduate with 7-10 years of experience in software development.

2)    Good communication skills – proactive behaviour

3)    .Net 3.5,4,4.5 (C# & ASP.Net) development experience – minimum 5 years

4)    IIS 6.0/7.5 and WebServices – minimum 3 years

5)    SQL Server 2008/12 (SQL/ Stored procedures) – minimum 5 years

6)    Working knowledge on Jquery, SSIS, Telerik, Bootstrap, DevExpress and ETL

7)    Service delivery experience – has already worked in small support teams

8)    Preferred working with Europe / France / Airbus experience

9)    ITIL knowledge

 

Responsibilities

 

Responsible for maintenance and problem management:

·         Responsible for the maintenance and evolution of the application to maintain the application in an operational state.

·         In charge for the corrective, adaptive and preventive maintenance of the applications.

·         Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems proactively when problem are raised via SeMaPHORE/any other tool or via dedicated mail box within the defined SLA.

·         Proactively communicate with service delivery manager and service management team about the solution approach, progress status, execution of the development in pipeline and delivery of the requested application changes.

·         Analyse the impact of evolution requirement and submit the report for approval to service management team. Provide specification dossier, implement the functionalities, perform the unit test, factory acceptance test, and support end user for final acceptance test.

·         Write the required scripts and jobs to ensure the integration of data via different interfaces flow.

·         Responsible for providing technical and functional support on and documenting end-to-end business processes.

·         Perform unit, performance and non-regression test effectively.

·         Ensure the performance of the system especially during the operations & data integration by optimizing the tasks, jobs & transformation

 

Provide support to L2 operation team

·         Analyse the incident, find the root cause and fix the issues for incidents escalated within the support team.

·         Own the issues until the resolution. Escalate to right person (based on the operational procedure) on time if necessary.

·         Control the scheduling of jobs, ensure that jobs run fine, in case of issue provide an analysis, correct and restart them if required

·         Launch and manage problem resolution with the service management team wherever applicable.

 

 

General responsibilities

 

·         Work closely with French project members (architect, designer, developer, change manager…), Enterprise Architect, Service Manager and Quality Manager during the maintenance & evolution activities.

·         Maintain tools required to support the whole maintenance & evolution processes (development environments, access to applications for the team, versioning, compilation, quality inspection, deployment, performance test, documentation management).

·         Document and ensure that configuration management processes are respected. Ensure the support team always has what they need in order to deliver. Responsible of providing a working environment to the team for application under responsibility.

·         Use the best practices, standards, coding, architecture, and security always.

·         Maintain up to date all application documents as per Airbus standards (e.g. Operation Requirement Sheet, Schedule Requirement Sheet, Monitoring Requirement Sheet, Specification Dossier, Architecture Dossier, Test Plan, Configuration Management Plan, Deployment Plan, User Manual…). Ensure documentation is always up to date and available to all authorized Airbus stakeholders

·         Maintain the first-time-right approach is a must.
